Last date for holding AGM for FY 2020-21 extended

The Ministry of corporate Affairs (MCA) advised the Registrar of Companies (RoC) to extend the last date for holding of AGM for the Financial Year ended on March 31, 2021.

The Central Government has received representations seeking extension of time for holding Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2020-21 ending on 31st March 2021 citing many difficulties faced due to second wave of Covid-19 and consequent lockdowns etc.

Accordingly, the MCA has decided to extend the due date of conducting AGM by companies by 2 months for the financial year 2020-21 ended on 31st March 2021.

MCA Notification/ Circular/ Order to that effect is expected today.
